The amplifiers communicate with the base computer via a fibre-optic cable up to 500 metres in length, suitable for remote recording. The Galileo SQL database ensures maximum compatibility with other applications. The Brain Explorer’s video EEG software utilises the latest Mpeg4 technology for the best combination of recording quality and small file-size.

Several amplifiers are available from the amazingly compact BE Light up to 256-channel research systems. Detachable mini-headboxes can be supplied, plus connectors for CPAP and SPO2 devices.

Analysis programs include sleep scoring, compressed spectral array, spike detection and topographic mapping. In addition to EEG, the Brain Explorer can be configured to perform the full range of evoked potential analysis, using from 4 to 256 channels.
